Hannah James (Bluesky – LinkedIn) is counsel in the Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security Program, where she focuses on government surveillance and presidential emergency powers. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, she served as a legal fellow with the Center for Justice and Accountability and as a law clerk at the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
